Engineering Activities (10th - 15th March 2018)
A full patch of all 13 COP tables, optimised for the science phase
We propose a software patching slot of duration 1 day, to be scheduled as early as possible
After the patch, SINBAD should remain switched on for 12 hours (all channels off) to approach thermal equilibrium
Then to verify the patch, an extended functional check should be run with sufficient time allowed for NOMAD to return to the baseline temperature e.g.
FT#1: UVIS on for 30 minutes (UVIS SCI=112)
All channels off for 30 minutes
FT#2: SO on for 30 minutes (SO FIXED=0, SCI1=2557, SCI2=2557)
All channels off for 1 hour
FT#3: LNO on for 30 minutes (LNO FIXED=1, SCI1=2398, SCI2=2398)
All channels off for 1 hour
FT#4: SO+UVIS on for 30 minutes (SO FIXED=0, SCI1=2557, SCI2=2557; UVIS SCI=343)
All channels off for 1 hour
FT#5: LNO+UVIS on for 30 minutes (LNO FIXED=1, SCI1=2398, SCI2=2398; UVIS SCI=112)
All channels off for 1 hour
FT#6: SINBAD+UVIS thermal baseline for up to 18 hours (UVIS SCI=112)
FT#7: LNO flip mirror occultation-nadir-occultation position

Thermal constraint determination
Nadir testing and science
NOMAD will test a wide range of nadir order combinations, checking best diffraction orders for each molecule
Measurements will be made conservatively, with off-periods between each, to avoid potential overheating
A range of thermal observation rules will be tested, therefore instrument temperature will fluctuate
